If you’re looking for an inspiring location and you happen to be in Madrid on a Sunday, be sure to visit the El Rastro flea market in the La Latina neighbourhood (all the way up to Lavapies). It is one of the biggest flea markets you have ever seen. Of course, you can find here all kinds of things, but there is also a big section where there’s mainly vintage furniture (text will continue below the photos).

In Galerias Piquer, which is located in the middle of the market, there are many antique and vintage shops to be found. It’s the most picturesque place, since all the stores are located around a square, both on the ground floor and the first floor. A lot of the items are displayed outside and you one beautiful thing after another. Don’t refrain from also going into the shops, to find even more stunning items. By the way, the shops also can be visited on other days of the week, if you prefer it to be a little bit quieter around you (text will continue below the photos).

If you need a place to have lunch, or breakfast, definitely go to Haruko Coffee Shop. They have the best coffee, sweet cakes and tostadas.
