Traveling around the peninsula of Yucatán you will come across a lot of inspiration. Mexico is a feast for the senses. The nature is breathtaking; think of the coastline, forests and not to speak about the cenotes. And then there is the decor. Varying from bursts of color to stylish use of natural materials. Herewith a short summary of the trip with a lot of visual stimulation and the link to some of the current outdoor trends that are spot-on!

Let’s start with two surprisingly amazing locations; the laidback Isla Holbox and the crystal-clear lagoon of Bacalar. Holbox island is the perfect spot for kitesurfing, but also if that’s not your thing, you will love the vibe of this place. Everywhere you look there are murals with vibrant colors. The houses are painted in bright shades. As is the furniture, combined with natural materials, like wicker and wood. The same bright colors you will find in Bacalar, contrasting beautifully with the turquoise water of the lake. Sit down and relax in one the Acapulco chairs or rainbow hammocks. 

Then on the other side there is the lively city of Valladolid with the facades have gorgeous muted tones.  And Tulum, where you will find the perfect natural bohemian style; natural materials, white sandy beaches, the blue ocean with the backdrop of the lush green tropical rainforest.
